Re: Activation every time

If you reboot, does that sort out the repeated activation requests? Or do they continue even after a reboot?

Please also try the steps here:

Re: Hardware: best foldy keyboard for iPad Mini?

I've just started beta-testing a just-short-of-miraculous little keyboard called the Text Blade. [...] http://www.waytools.com I'm glad to hear that it exists in the flesh. I decided a few months ago that it must be some sort of weird psychological study, and asked for my money back -- after two ye...

Re: Error Status 0xc0000020

This looks like a problem with McAfee security software, blocking the libraries used by Scrivener -- we've seen quite a few customers experiencing this recently. First, exclude Scrivener.exe from McAfee's scan, along with all of the DLL files in the installation directory. McAfee doesn't offer any w...

The menu option Window > Float QuickReference Panels keeps the QuickReference window on top.

Re: Education Licence

We operate on a basis of trust, so if you believe that you are eligible, as a student, then you can simply go to our web store at http://www.getscrivener.com and buy the education licence for Scrivener on your preferred platform.

Re: Another app (Ulysses) moves to a subscription based model

The problem is that all these subscriptions add up. Individually, they may each cost peanuts, but collectively they can make an insidious but substantial dent in the household budget, especially if you include in the total things like TV/film streaming, Amazon Prime, music streaming, language-learni...

Re: Scrivener key

The "Scrivener" item shown in your Mac screenshot is a menu title, and it is where you find things like the Registration... menu option or Check for Updates... (both of which appear in the Help menu in the Windows version), or the Quit Scrivener menu option (which is in the File menu on Wi...

Re: To Stand or Sit?

I'm getting on quite well with the standing desk arrangement. I've installed "Rest Time" on my computer, to remind me to change locations and head off to the dining room, where my standing desk contraption is set up on the table. Somehow, just getting an alarm or audible warning doesn't wo...

Re: To Stand or Sit?

I'm back trying the "standing desk" approach again, as of yesterday. This time, I have bought a desktop contraption, similar to the one that Hugh posted at the top of this thread -- actually, it is two contraptions: one for my laptop to sit on, and one for my wireless keyboard (set up at a...
