Repeat that process 30 times a day and you're good to go. . . . :)

Re: I would like to use a Regex search to find the following: can anyone help me?

Sarah, You’re asking for a rather complicated pair of regex’s. :-) You may say a “sentence” and have in mind a bunch of words terminated with a period but then how does this fit in? “I saw Mr. Big the other day.” So, unless you want to some mildly demented person to *really* figure out how to do the...

Brings back so many memories . . . worn-out symbol shift keys. . . .

Did you cobble that image together, Keith, or is it actually running in an emulator?

Re: The beauty of Scapple

Is there a problem if one leaves a scapple file open on a machine and then uses another machine to work on the same file?

Don't do that. Ever. :D

You have too much time on your hands.

Re: Magic Mouse - any good?

Twenty years of trackballs and you're thinking about a mouse? How curious. In my opinion, Apple has never made a good mouse. They have all been, in fact, dreadful for varying reasons. The Magic Mouse is no different. Yes, it has gestures; yes, it has touch-scrolling; but it is vanishingly small and ...

Re: Mac software for managing 10+ cross-referenced books?

Um, Joy? In essence you're requesting Scrivener to turn into FrameMaker. Please don't do that. Even if the work of resurrecting your old books is tedious, it's nothing compared to actually converting your old books to new books. Just run FrameMaker in a VM or whatever, produce the books, and make mo...

Re: AMERICANS! Please help...

All this, and a big garden, makes it a bit easier living on writer/editor money for the past 30 years. That's what I suspected (sigh) but it doesn't sound as though this has been onerous. You've certainly made good energy-saving choices. So we're looking at the South side, yes? I was little worried...

Re: AMERICANS! Please help...

Well, I did build this house, all by myself with no adult supervision. And I used a s*tload of Tapcons to fasten cabinets and such to the concrete walls. If I could figure out how to post a picture without overly wrinkling my brow, I'd show yez. Ha! Wrinkle your brow and show us! Sounds neat. That ...

Re: AMERICANS! Please help...

Okay. Thanks all! Okay, for the purposes of this draft at least, I'll make a virtue of the obscurity. ‘I’m serious, gents,’ says Easton. ‘There’s not going to be any kind of plea bargain on this one. Try and back out and I will absolutely screw you to the wall and use him as a rawlplug.’ ‘What does...
