Preserving Document Targets?

How do you preserve document targets when working on a project created on a Mac? I created a project on the Mac with several documents each with its own document target. Opened project on ios and document target does not show up. Draft target works as expected. Document targets are important to me. ...

Re: iPad 2018 or iPad Pro 10.5" ?

I use the 2018 version fine for writing. I use the on screen keyboard for short pieces and a bluetooth keyboard when writing longer ones. Mind you, the 9.7" screen is the biggest tablet screen I've had! Hope that helps.

A good explanation for how to set one is found in the iOS Tutorial > The Main Interface > Document Templates.

Thank you for that. I should look at the tutorial more often. I'm so used to just playing and figuring things out myself!

Setting a templates folder in iOS

Hi,

I have created a new project in Scrivener iOS. Is there a way to set a templates folder please? I have a folder where my templates are stored but can’t find where to set it as my templates folder in Scrivener iOS so I can use templates when creating new documents.

Re: iOS Music App recommendations

Using Apple’s “Music”, it is sometimes difficult to reconcile the fact that this is the same company that designed the original iPod interface. I gave up even trying understand how to use that thing, a few versions ago. In replacement I use Cesium. It taps right into the same iTunes library with a ...

Re: Inline Annotations have turned into comments

No it works with Windows and older Mac installations as well. It is (and always has been) capable of reading and working with both v2 and v3 format projects seamlessly. It will not upgrade them, but simply adjust how it works with the project based on its internal version number. Thank you. That’s ...

Re: Inline Annotations have turned into comments

If you exported an RTF file from Scrivener, then the annotations inside it will have just been converted to regular RTF comments. Importing an RTF file into Scrivener, the comments will be turned into Inspector comments unless you tick "Import comments as inline annotations" in the Sharin...

Inline Annotations have turned into comments

I imported an RTF created by Scrivener iOS into Scrivener v2 and all my inline annotations have been turned into comments. I've turned the turn comments into inline annotations checkbox and re-imported. This has rectified my issue but I am confused as to why Scrivener v2 is turning my inline annotat...

Double Square Bracket [[ ]] Shortcut Question

I’ve just used iOS Scrivener to compile an RTF with annotations and noticed that it used double square brackets to show the annotations in the RTF.. Then I had vague memories that Scrivener allowed you to use double square brackets as an inline annotation shortcut. Could I type the double square bra...

iOS Music App recommendations

Hi, I'm looking for apps that play music that is on the iPad rather than streaming. I am currently using the default iTunes app for this. However, it's one of the few out of the box apps I am unimpressed with. This is due to functions like a repeat mode missing, not categorising files correctly, and...

Re: Document/Folder separators?

Yes. Edit your compile format and add a line like Document Separator: '#' Change the character(s) between the single straight quotes to whatever you want. Hope this helps! NB: If you tap "Edit" at the top of the compile formats list, then tap the "i" in a circle next to any form...

Document/Folder separators?

Is there a way to add to document/folder separators in compile in the iOS version? Or do I need to manually add them to the end of each document or folder? I am using the iOS version as an RTF editor to create documents that will be imported into a v2 project. I am not converting this project as I w...

Re: Have Scrivener iOS questions

Well firstly, iTunes should be perfectly capable of copying projects off of the device and onto the Mac. The section, *iTunes and other file managers*, has a simple checklist that should get you to the right spot---I *think*. Let me know if this no longer matches reality. Apple keeps changing how t...
