Re: Aeon Timeline Version 0.5.2 (Bug fixes to Fantasy Dates)

Still excited about this application. Keep up the good work! Still distracted by the fact that the vertical timeline numbers do not display properly in the Entity view. Or perhaps I am doing something wrong!

Re: Scrivener 2.0... It's here.

Thank you so much for doing this Keith and all the rest of your small team. I tell every writer I meet to buy Scrivener and they always say 'oh i can't afford any new software' and when I tell them the price they look astonished and rush off to buy it. When I go on to tell them that you keep the pri...

Re: Scrivener for Windows...

I am sorry to seem musically illiterate but what is the music used on the Scrivener Window's video?

Re: Scrivener for Windows...

Fantastic, I have never used Windows, I have been on a Mac for 20 years. But I would dearly love something really small and portable to run Scrivener on - and that's a Netbook. Let's face it, the iPad is lovely but what we really all wanted was something small to run Scrivener on! (listening Apple?)...

Re: Scrivener User Videos

Thanks so much Crystal! I've been using Scrivener for quite a while but I discovered several new tricks - things that I had never used, simply because I wasn't sure what use they would be for me...now I will use bookmarks!

Re: Scrivener on an iPad Using Air Display?

Have you tried using Scrivener on the iPad with Mocha VNC? It allows you to log remotely into your desktop. It is better imo than all the others because the paid version (there is a free one) allows you to have an extra keyboard with an escape key - which means that when you go into full screen mode...

Date cut off

I love this app. It is just what a writer needs. I can't wait for the full version. I'd love to buy it. I just have one small gripe: in this latest version (and in the last) the top date in the timelines is partially cut off. This means I have to squint to see it. Wish it didn't do this! See attache...

Cant count page numbers in Statistics

I'm sorry if this has been addressed already. I have done a search but nothing comes up with exactly the same problem I appear to be having. Basically in Project Statistics I see a word count of 169,057, a paperback pages count of 429 and then it tells me the printed page count is 2. I don't underst...

Re: MacSpeech and similar transcription software

I use Macspeech Dictate with Scrivener very successfully. Dictate works well but only as well as the microphone you use. Many do not work with it. They have just released a Bluetooth Plantronics headset, Plantronics Calisto, which works very well with Dictate. It is a way of writing you have to get ...

Re: new user

I agree, I am another new user. I will definitely buy this app. Please keep developing it. I have been trying to use Timeline 3D which is not made for writers and my attempts to make it bend to my will have not been that successful. Love the Story Arc feature!

Praise for Scrivener

This is a great application for writing. What more can I say? I think I have tried every Mac application for writing and Scrivener takes the prize. At first when I started using it, I used to think that eventually I would find something really important that it couldn't do. But each time one of thos...

Re: reopen project at project launch

Thank you for all your advice. What worked was trashing the Scrivener preferences. (then I spent an hour looking for the rego code again - sigh, and I thought I was organised) That fixed the problem. Somewhere along the line Scrivener seemed to have gotten confused. Thanks for your comments on my we...

reopen project at project launch

Hi, this is my first post. I am ashamed to say that although I have been lurking for a while and using Scrivener I never got around to saying what a great program I think this is. I am a published writer in Australia. Picador published my first book a few years ago. For the first book I used Word's ...
