Re: scrivening, entire manuscript

Oh geez. It really was just a simple slip of the mouse-click. Thanks so much. I would never have known this.

scrivening, entire manuscript

Hi, Previously, when I clicked on "Manuscript" in the binder, it would display the entire work in a continuous scrivening format, from start to fish, with just dashes visually separating the chapters. However, today, I clicked on Manuscript only to be greeted with a blank folder. (see atta...

Re: Word count not the same in Word.docx

Ugh! Well, I guess it's good to know this now. I've been submitting count-sensitive drafts using the Scrivener counter for several months now, without knowing this.
Thank you so much.
So, I guess there's no way to program Scrivener to follow a certain word-counting rule?

Word count not the same in Word.docx

Whenever I compile a document into Word.docx, the word-count is consistently higher than it was in the draft I wrote in Scrivener. So, if I've scrivened a document for a client, and I compile it into docx before sending, it ends up being wordier than what I thought I produced. This is problematic. M...

Re: italics displays as underlined when compiled

Okay, that's probably it. Can you help me with where to look for this?
I don't see anything about transformations in my compile settings, so I'm clearly not looking in the right compile settings

Re: spit screen view windows

Ahhh! Yes. Thank you for the quick reply and it's a fix!
It's interesting that the window on the right was not set to page view, but the one on the left was.
Oh well, not relevant. Just happy to have it done. Thanks again. I feel kinda stupid now :)

spit screen view windows

I'm trying to figure how to get the file on the left to adjust to fit the way the one on the right does. As it is now, I have to keep using the side-to-side scroll bar to read the text on the left window.

Re: number symbol/pound symbol between paragraphs

"They don't appear between regular paragraphs within the same document at all."

Yes, they do, and no my screen shot is not reflective of different files or documents. It's all one file.

Re: number symbol/pound symbol between paragraphs

Any thoughts as to why they are not appearing consistently between paragraphs, then? See attachment

number symbol/pound symbol between paragraphs

Why is the compile feature automatically adding these between my paragraphs?
And why are they only appearing between some, but not all paragraphs?
And most importantly, how do I get rid of them?
Thanks!

Re: outline view

I've tried creating it two different ways. One, by simply selecting "print current document" when I'm on the outline view, and two, I've tried compiling the outline into a pdf. Either way, the colors didn't carry over.

compile outline

Is there a way to compile just the outline, with the synopsis notes exactly as it displays in outline view, and either print it or export it? I know I can simply go to print current document from the outline window, but when I do that, it doesn't carry the heading colors, it's all black. See attachm...

Re: outline view

Hmmm. I figured most of it out, but I just realized that when I create a PDF of the outline, the color doesn't show. It shows up in black.
