Re: iPhone X Max with iOS 12 Cork Board

Thanks for the feedback. If it doesn't have that capability, it's not a deal breaker for me. As always, I appreciate this forum!

iPhone X Max with iOS 12 Cork Board

I know the cork board does not function on the current iPhones and iOS version. Does anyone know whether that feature will work on the new X Max with iOS 12? I suspect this question is premature, but was curious because I am going to make a purchasing decision soon. Thanks.

Starting Fresh Every Time I Launch Scrivener 3

UPDATE: SOLVED I just got a new MacBook Pro. Yay! I set up Scrivener 3 like I had it before. When I first launched the app it asked for a backup location. Normal. Then I load my preference and theme. Open my WIP, do some work. Sync to Dropbox. All is well. Close project. Quit app. Open app again. I ...

Re: Minimum RAM Requirements Scrivener 3

I ran Scrivener 3 for a short while on a late 2010 13” MacBook Air, with only 2 GB RAM, and a 1.8 GHz processor. It was fine until I upgraded to MacOS 10.13, at which point I noticed a slight performance drop. The way Scrivener operates, unless you open very large Scrivenings sessions, especially w...

Minimum RAM Requirements Scrivener 3

I searched and couldn't locate the answer, which means I missed it.

I have a 2011 MacBook Air with 4gb of RAM. I've noticed a performance drop. The Apple Store checked it out and the computer is fine. Is 4gb enough?

Thanks in advance.

Keywords From Mac Don't Merge

I'm not sure I framed the subject well above. Here's the problem... If I have two or more documents in Scrivener 3 (S3) that each have their separate keywords, when I merge them in S3 all the keywords appear in the merged document. If I merge those same three documents in iOS and reopen it in S3, on...

Re: Scrivener won’t sync to dropbox

Hi you all here I too have this problem right now. for the past week. My most recent project (including a "test project" I just now created to see if it too did NOT show up in my dropbox) does not show in the Dropbox 'recent files' pane. Neither on the MacBookAir where I am now mostly wor...

Please Add Bounjour syncing

I recently purchased DEVONThink and am using the Bonjour sync feature to keep the clutter down on Dropbox. It works wonderfully.

Re: Check Dropbox On Project Open

Additional troubleshooting steps: * Ensure that ordinary files -- not Scrivener projects -- will correctly synchronize from the Mac <-> Dropbox <-> the iOS device. * If that works, create a test project, and inspect it at each step along the way, including on the Dropbox server. * Given the sometim...

Re: Check Dropbox On Project Open

Have you opened a ticket with support so that they can be directly working with you, your logs, your data, your traces, to figure out what is going on? They have additional measures that we, your fellow customers in the forums, don't have available -- and if you want to give L&L the best chance...

Re: Check Dropbox On Project Open

Make sure Dropbox on the Mac is actually running. There've been a number of cases where Mac OS updates silently disabled startup items, including Dropbox. Katherine Thanks. Will do. In my case, it is running. I have learned I have take time out of my day to make sure everything with Scrivener and D...

Re: Check Dropbox On Project Open

If iOS Scrivener is not detecting fully synched changes from the Mac, then something is wrong. Impossible to say what without more information, but a troubleshooting guide can be found here: https://scrivener.tenderapp.com/help/kb/ios/quick-troubleshooting-for-ios-syncing Katherine Thank you. I've ...

Re: Check Dropbox On Project Open

It checks if the project on the Dropbox server is different from the one it has internally before opening the project. What has happened to make you ask the question? It doesn't detect any changes whatsoever like it used to. It doesn't give me the option of Sync Later or Sync Now. It spins the whee...

Check Dropbox On Project Open

Why does the iOS Scrivener have a setting that says Check Dropbox On Project Open? It seems like a waste of time since when it checks for changes it does not detect fully synced changes made on the Mac? Am I missing something? I'm not above user error, but this issue stalks me.

Re: iOS 11 and DropBox Syncing Issues

Katherine, Again, thank you for all your help. There's no need to do anything further. I'm going to use iTunes from here on out and monitor Scrivener updates. I'll reconsider using Dropbox if I see any changes. Until then, it's iTunes syncing, as it takes less time than what I'm spending now. Kindes...
