Re: Font display problems in Windows

Thanks jravan.

The fonts were several: Times New Roman, Calibria, even Arial (though with less distinct problems).

The text was imported from existing MS WORD documents.

Thanks again,

Font display problems in Windows

I recently installed Scrivener for Windows for my Uncle, who is writing a series of philosophy essays. He is delighted so far, but we have encountered an odd font display problem. In almost all fonts, some characters appear to display in a boldish weight, while others are in a regular or demi weight...

¡Español!

Think Better has just been released in a Spanish edition, with exclamation marks, no less. http://api.ning.com/files/BogM-aPezhN456KQ*VHlBcko6HeN9B*FThc2AVWpKxHp1NSzilJ7m8iIl7QvWKCNfIRpefioxS096O7hoZdsWU8W-50yxysW/TBspanish.jpg?width=145 ¡Increíble! (Surely Stockportianese can't be far off.)

Re: Think Better

Hi Vic, We've been working on a Stockportianese version. But the translation — as I know you can appreciate — is exceedingly difficult. We have interviewed several people fluent in Stockportianese for this purpose. Unfortunately, however, we have discovered that none of them can speak English. Perha...

Re: Think Better in Korea !!

Hi all, Last week I met the man who translated Think Better into Korean. He gave me a copy of a truly beautifully produced edition, then a few days later sent me this photo of the book in a major Korean bookstore. I don't know the Korean for übercool , but if I did, I'd shout it out. Think Better at...

Re: The status of the next update and 2.0

Go for it Keith,

I've always thought Scrivener 1.x was worth more than you were charging, and I'm happy to pay for the upgrade (though, from what you say, I might not want to switch in mid stream on my current project... but hell, now you've given me an incentive for yet another!)

All the best,

Sean Coffee wrote:I'd like to suggest a sort of "Hipster PDA" version of Scriv for the iPhone. The metaphor is simple and perfect for Scrivener: A stack of notecards held together with a binder clip. Period.

I'm with Dr Coffee. Keep it simple.

Re: Think Better

I think you overestimate the hicklish speaking community. Yes, the plan was for an audio book in hick. We shall call it "eh"-lish. Reminds me of the old riddle: How do you spell Canada? (C eh? N eh? D eh?) I should also explain that, having been raised in New York City, Canada's eh didn't...

I think we have a Fringlish version scheduled (I live in Canada), but not yet Hicklish. Excellent suggestion, Jaysen. I'll check with the publisher. I need all the readers I can get.

Think Better in Chinese!

I just received a copy of the Chinese edition of Think Better ! Amazing. I never expected it to be translated into so many languages — so far Thai and Chinese. The Korean version is scheduled for November, to be followed by Spanish and German. Woohoo! Here's an image of the cover. I love what they d...

Re: Scrivener deletes my content

Has there been any followup on this post? It sounds odd and unlikely, but if storyseeker really has had such an experience, it's kind of scary. Any further news on this Keith?
