Synchronize with Evernote

Synchronization with Evernote In lieu of Scrivener on iOS, I wish Scrivener would be able to synchronize with Evernote. The advantages of Evernote for writing chapters of your book are: 1. You can write and access your chapters anywhere on Evernote: * On any browser * On your iPhone or other smartph...

Re: Scrivener for iOS - When?

You're all forgetting voice recognition. If I space out my words, it's amazingly accurate for common words, and faster than I can type with my thumbs, maybe even faster than I can type with my fingers on a full-sized keyboard. Except for punctuation; my fingers know those keys better than I can ver...

Re: Microsoft-Style RTF Outlines import as Scrivener Outline

Keith, GR's Applescript does exactly what I want. Thus the logic and routine is there for you to examine. It converts Microsoft's Outlines (which can be seen in Outline View in Word in a .doc format file) to OPML files. These can then be imported to create a new binder folder/file structure. If poss...

Better Outlining Key Combinations

When in Edit Scrivenings mode, or even in Outliner Mode, I wish that Scrivenings had the same single-hand key-combinations for manipulating the outline. Currently, when in Edit Scrivenings mode: When I press <tab>, the document title is selected for modification - WHICH DOESN'T MAKE MUCH SENSE. Usua...

Microsoft-Style RTF Outlines import as Scrivener Outline

Scrivener supports importing OPML files and converting them to a Binder outline where each line in the OPML file becomes a separate file in Scrivener and maintains the outline hierarchy in position. This allows one to import data from Omnioutliner. I wish that Scrivener can do the same for Microsoft...

Tinderbox vs. Inspiration

I've tried Inspiration, and while it is definitely a very good program, it does not have nearly the capacity for information processing that Tinderbox has. If you use Tinderbox for something along the lines of Inspiration, then it would be a rip off. However, its built-in logic language, template e...

Re: Outline Document within Scrivener

I re-examined why I posted my post. The way outlining is implemented in Scrivener is optimized for creating section headings for bodies of text. One has to create new documents in order to create each entry in the outline. When brainstorming, for example, this doesn't flow very naturally or quickly....

Outline Document Type

2.0 will make Outliner even more powerful and useful for brainstorming with a number of new features and tweaks, which will make it even more akin to OO usage with inline notes turned on. It's going to be fab! So Excited! In the wish list area, I wish for an Outline Document type. Scrivener's outli...

Outline Document within Scrivener

Currently the document types are: 1. Text 2. Folder I wish there was an Outline Document type. As I write sections of my research-oriented book, I wish I could have an outline document type so I can play with topics WITHIN each scrivening/document. For example, I have a section in the book that desc...

Re: WISH: Outline View Documents colored with the Label Setting

Sorry, But your reply was rude and does not apply to my WISH. New requests are also more prominent. Thus even if there were a previous request, the addition of another magnifies the need for the WISH. View|Outliner|Columns|Label is NOT the solution or wish I want. It is not adequate. In Mac OS X, wh...

Re: WISH: Default TAB Stops

I'm sorry.

It looks like it works in version 1.11

I was having problems with the Beta 1.12 version.

Thank you very much for Scrivener.

BUG: default text ruler tabs NOT saved in preferences

BUG:
The default text ruler tabs are NOT saved in the preference settings.
And they are NOT set when creating new documents.

This is a huge headache for what should be a basic feature.

I use tabs often to write outlines in documents and to structure my documents.

WISH: Outline View Documents colored with the Label Setting

I wish that each document in the Outline View Pane of the Binder can be labeled with it's Label Color. Currently, the only way to see the Label of a document is to open up the Inspector Pane. This is so inconvenient. Having each binder colored according to its label would make it easy to see at a gl...

WISH: Default TAB Stops

I wish I did not have to set the tabs manually with every document or scribble I write.

In the Text Editing Preferences > Default Main Text Attributes, I wish a default tab stop (e.g. 0.5") can be set so I do not have to reset the tabs for every document.
