iOS: Compile with indented paragraphs on plain text files

When compiling to plain text, would it be possible to have each paragraph be indented (as it appears in the editor) rather than have an empty line between each paragraph? Also, would it be possible to have the <$longdate> feature added, so that each compile can have the date of compilation added aut...

Re: iOS: Add compiled file automatically to backup

That's why I said that it should be an option, for those of us who would benefit from having a compiled version in each zip. But as this suggestion evidently seems unfeasible, I'll just compile it myself each time.

Re: iOS: Add compiled file automatically to backup

I still think that having an option to include a compiled version within the backup zip file would be useful. If for no other reason, it would allow the full manuscript to be available on a computer that didn't have Scrivener installed, without the need to each time purposefully compile a separate f...

iOS: Add compiled file automatically to backup

Would it be possible to add an option when creating a zip backup (on iOS) where a txt compile of the manuscript is automatically included at the root of the backup zip file?

Thanks for your consideration.

How do I add the date when compiling a manuscript?

On iOS, I would like to have the date of compilation added automatically to the front matter.

I have tried to add <$longdate> but it doesn't seem to work.

Can anyone help?

Re: External backup for Scrivener iOS files?

There is a better way of creating backups in my opinion. If you go to the main project screen and tap the Edit button you’ll find a gear button along the bottom. Tap that, and then select the project you wish to back up and “share” it. This will present a few options based on your configuration. I ...

Re: “Search only within manuscript” option?

Thanks. That’s what I thought. I’ve got around it by assigning a different icon to manuscript texts so that they are more easily identified. It’s not ideal, but it’s the best I can think of.

It would be great if this feature could be added though please. @KB.

“Search only within manuscript” option?

Is it possible to search for keywords only within the documents that are within the Manuscript folder? It would really be useful to have an option to limit search results to just these files.

iPad Pro 10.5: Two docs side by side in portrait mode?

I use Scrivener on iOS every day. I really like it. Would it be possible in the next version, when in portrait mode on the iPad Pro 10.5, to allow two documents to be open side by side (one in quick reference) without them overlapping?

Thanks,

Ok thanks. As I wrote, I'll stick to iTunes for now, hoping to see alternative syncing methods eventually.

Re: (iOS) Add "import from another app" to the sync button for .zip and .scrivx files

Thanks for your reply. I'm aware of the decision for Scrivener to use DropBox and am not disputing that. Maybe I should focus on zips rather than .scriv files. I seemingly can copy zips to Scrivener (iOS) and they open ok. I can then save that zip back to a file manager. While this isn't as easy as ...

Re: (iOS) Add "import from another app" to the sync button for .zip and .scrivx files

I don't use DropBox. I use iTunes sync, which is quite a pain to use. I've been experimenting with a few apps that store files locally on iOS such as Notebooks or FileApp as these allow for wifi sync or WebDav back to the Mac. These apps display .scriv files as folders so don't allow them to be sent...

Re: (iOS) Add "import from another app" to the sync button for .zip and .scrivx files

Thanks for your input. Actually, this is what happens when we import files via iTunes: we get a prompt asking us whether we want to overwrite the project. I understand the risks, maybe there could be an undo feature in the event a project is mistakenly overwritten. Basically, what I'm trying to acco...

Re: (iOS) Add "import from another app" to the sync button for .zip and .scrivx files

Thanks,

I don't know why I was trying to sync the .scrivx, I've managed to import a .scriv.

However, it would be really useful to be prompted to replace files with the same name instead of having a number added on the end of the file name.

(iOS) Add "import from another app" to the sync button for .zip and .scrivx files

I have .zip and .scrivx files in other document management/cloud apps that I'd like to import into Scrivener but there doesn't seem to be a way to do that as Scrivener displays a message that these file type can't be imported. Could you please consider allowing this in the next update, ideally overw...
