[BB] Revision Mode not deactivating properly.

Hopefully I can explain this adequately -- a quick search under 'revision' doesn't show this logged, but forgive me if it's mentioned under a different name. This seems to be a problem exclusive to the newest beta. I have done revision work in previous betas without seeing anything like this, though...

Re: Scratch pad bug with new documents? (2.9.0.8 beta, 64-bit)

Can confirm this behaviour, also using 64bit, Win10. Possibly related, possibly not -- I also received an error message the first time I tried to open the scratch pad (through the Window menu, if that helps). I have been unable to duplicate this, though, so it's possibly limited to the program's fir...

Re: Anyone else using the BETA for their work?

I'm just so excited for the timing. I just found out my late 2011 Macbook Pro will not be able to upgrade to MacOS 10.14, Mojave. While Scrivener 3 updates currently on the horizon will be compatible with 10.13, it means the writing on the wall is there for my Mac and I simply refuse to buy a $2000...

Re: Anyone else using the BETA for their work?

I am -- happily, and with no issues thus far. Other than a couple of minor distractions standard for beta products, I find it a much more enjoyable working environment than v1 and since my work is nothing that would shake the earth if it were lost, I'm happy to take the risk. I do try and copy/paste...

[LH3009] Smart Quotes Distort Blinking Cursor

A very minor issue, but possibly worth noting in case it links to others? Something I've noticed since switching to 2.9.0.5: As soon as I use a quote-mark or apostrophe in a document, the blinking cursor becomes distorted, taking on a form somewhat like this: ↾. It remains this way all through any p...

Re: [LH1781] Default Editor Width

Collider, The fixed width is only a maximum editor size, so it's possible if you are in windowed mode and only adjusting the size slightly you haven't yet made the maximum width small enough to be visible inside the already smaller area of the main editor. If you set it to something ridiculous, lik...

Re: [LH1781] Default Editor Width

What value are you attempting to change it to? And is Scrivener in full-screen mode or windowed? I'm using windowed mode exclusively at the moment. As to values, I've attempted a bunch of different numbers, increasing or decreasing in increments of five to see if it makes a difference, but no chang...

Re: [LH1781] Default Editor Width

Dunno if this helpful or a pointless addition, but I can't get the changed width to show no matter what I do -- it's like it doesn't apply at all, even though the number remains saved.

[LH1430] Inspector Synopsis auto-filling with document text

I don't know if this is intentional or not, but when I'm typing with the inspector displayed, if I've not input any text into the 'synopsis' box, it autofills with the contents of the document (the text doesn't show up immediately, but switching to a different document and then switching back should...

[BB]: Non-Default Dictionary Highlights Every Word

Pretty much what it says in the title -- when switching to a different-language dictionary under 'corrections' in the settings menu, (UnitedKingdom-EN-GB in my case), Scrivener highlights every word in the document as a spelling error (in existing projects and newly-created ones, both). On switching...

[LH2733]: Label Colour Setting Resets After Exit

Specifically, when selecting 'use full width in binder' under 'View > Use Label Colour In...', exiting and re-entering the program seems to uncheck this box. Has happened consistently every time I've attempted it. Doesn't seem to happen with other label colour options; the colours still show up in t...

[LH2770]: 2.9.0.1 -- Can't Upload Custom Binder Icons

Forgive me if this has been raised before -- I searched the forum and I couldn't find anything similar, but it's entirely possible I missed something, in which case I apologise. I've been trying out some customisation options in the beta, and every time I try to import a custom icon to the binder (u...

Re: Any hints on coming 3.0 features...

As usual Windows users come last ... never lose some money for the new MacOS release. Say Scrivener 3 is the first paid upgrade in 6 years ... To Windows users you should give it as you've treated them all this time. I was looking for Scrivener for Windows update mail to fix at least the problem wi...

Re: Are there DPI issues on 1920 x 1080 HD screens?

I have a 1920x1080 HD screen (Spectre x360, if that's relevant), and Scrivener looks great so long as I check 'disable display scaling on high DPI settings' in Properties. It makes the icons etc. a bit small, but not impossible to use as with some higher resolutions. Easily comfortable enough for my...
