Re: Forum software changes (I don't know where to put this)

My only issue is with the display font of the new look forum. It is just way too fine and spidery (as someone previously has said) for me to read comfortably. I've found most of the other bits I've habitually used (new posts, first posts) okay, but this font is a shocker. If you download the Stylis...

Re: Scrivener shows inconsistent character spacing after importing document from Word

That looks like a kerning issue - one is clearly kerned tighter than the other. Do/did you make such changes in Word?

Re: Forum software changes (I don't know where to put this)

Firstly you need the Stylish extension installed into your browser. Secondly, I found that with the Safari version of that extension, the outer two lines of my code snippet should be removed: that is the part referring to "mozilla" stuff on the first line, and then the very last curly bra...

Re: Blue Dots Under Text (Scrivener 3)

Yes, this text was dictated using the internal MacOS voice rec function, which works surprisingly well (at least it doesn't cost the $300 I almost shelled out for Dragon Dictation). I bought Dragon when I was still using Snow Leopard which didn't have OS dictation. I was lucky enough to find a copy...

I'm with you - the old way shows the nesting of different levels much more clearly.

Re: Chapters, Front & Back Matter Missing in Compile

I updated to Scrivener 3 yesterday and today I'm recreating my compile settings. However, no matter what I do I can't get the compiler to recognize or show any of my book content except for Chapters 1, 4 and 8. Everything worked fine before the upgrade. I really need to sort this out quickly as my ...

Re: Forum software changes (I don't know where to put this)

Ok, the text size thing now seems to be resolved, though I echo what others have said about it being "thin, faint and spidery". A meatier font would be preferable, don't you agree? Or the same font we had before? Can we have the forum index link back at the bottom of topics please? The nat...

Re: Bugs in new forum!!!

Ok, my point 3 is now resolved - the top buttons are now functional. :) However, the other two points are still outstanding - to show you what I mean about the small text, here are two screenshots: - the first shows the size of font when composing (it's a bit faint, but at least it's large) - the se...

Bugs in new forum!!!

So far I've noticed the following : 1. Minor bug - some posts contain very small text which is an eye strain to read - can you please default to the same size text as the previous forum? (This topic, after posting, has very small text, unlike while I'm composing it). 2. There used to be a button to ...

Re: Photo-Integration / Design

Do you mean 'shadow' as a placeholder for a photograph, or to have photographs with 'drop shadows' (as in the Photoshop option)?

Re: Footnotes in between stories

Have you thought about splitting your chapters so that a chapter has its own folder, but within it there are a number of documents, each of which can have its own footnotes?

Re: The impending Release 3 and App Store?

Hi Ioa, for people who want to keep Scrivener 2 and 3 installed in parallel do you have a preferred method (renaming to Scrivener2.app works fine for me, but my Scrivener 2 is not an app store version)? I find that renaming an older version will not affects its running (with the exception of Apple'...

Re: No longer "prints" to Scrivener

The Print dialogue box has always offered the PDF option (button lower left, at least as far as Mavericks). Has that button disappeared?

Re: What is the ideal size for the composer background texture?

BUT I had forgotten I had set the display monitor in a smaller definition so that texts would appear bigger, and that was what caused my issue. It might be worth pointing out that this shouldn't be necessary - in most apps (e.g. Safari, Mail, Scrivener) you can set the minimum size of font displaye...
