Re: Inserting equations Scrivener for Windows

Nice, thanks for the tip! Another approach is to use the cross-platform LyX , which has an equation editor built into it. It’s probably a little more difficult to get the result of that into an image that you can paste into Scrivener though—I’ve never looked into from that standpoint, but it would ...

Inserting equations Scrivener for Windows

Hey all... I needed to insert a fake formula in my latest wip. After some searching I discovered a way to convert my made up formula into an image using a free online Latex formula generator/compiler and converter. If like me, you don't know latex from shinola, you can create your formula with this ...

Re: prowritingaid add-in

I just wondered if there are any plans to have a prowritingaid add-in in the future. I use it to edit all my work and it's annoying that I have to export my chapters into word or the website editor to use it. There's a beta desktop version that can be found here. http://prowritingaid.com/en/App/Des...

Re: adding customized character maps Windows version

I’m confused, custom icons are not something you would put in the text—they can be applied to binder items via the Documents menu. Maybe you just meant that as an example: i.e. that one could drag icons into the character map? As to that, I can only repeat what I said earlier: that is a tool built ...

Re: adding customized character maps Windows version

You should be able to save an emoji as an image and then import that as an icon. I can't advise on how best to do so as I'm not terribly familiar with the best tools on Windows, but in general you would just type in an emoji character into a suitable drawing program and save it as a 16x16 pixel PNG...

Re: Recovering lost text... or when Scrivener ate my homework.

It doesn't have to, it's already in the temporary memory. That's how windows works.

Re: prowritingaid add-in

I can not speak for Scrivener, but Prowritingaid does have a desktop Scrivener compatible app in development. You can find the beta version here. http://prowritingaid.com/en/App/Desktop

Re: adding customized character maps Windows version

Actually I'd like to add custom emoji sets in the same way I can add custom icons.

Re: Recovering lost text... or when Scrivener ate my homework.

I think it wasn't saved in the project folder because when the PCs blackscreen w/o curser, everything stops and you have to do a hard boot, so it doesn't have a chance to write from temporary memory.
