Curly Apostrophes in Search vs Quick Search

You probably know that "didn't" (straight apostrophe) will match "didn’t" (with curly apostrophe) in the Search control but not in the Quick Search control.

Re: Question About Dropbox Folder Location

Is this doing something different than creating an alias using the Finder? I'm new to this, but it looks like an alias might not work because "Aliases are created and managed at the Finder level, which means that if you're using Terminal or a non-Mac application, such as many UNIX apps and uti...

Re: Procedure for Sharing via Thumb Drive

After doing this a few times, I've found it's too dangerous. That is, unless I'm very careful, even with colored tags and folder renames, it's too easy to open the wrong version by mistake.

So, I've gone to Dropbox syncing instead.

Re: Question About Dropbox Folder Location

I followed the instructions here:

https://www.hongkiat.com/blog/sync-fold ... e-dropbox/

(Scroll to Sync any folder between two Macs).

So far, so good.

Question About Dropbox Folder Location

Some of my projects share the same images. To deal with this, I have a single folder for all images called Documents/BookImages/ Screen Shot 2019-02-23 at 8.09.19 AM.jpg . I've found no way to refer to this folder via indirection, so the images are referred to directly (Insert/Image Linked to a File...

Re: Set Project "Read-Only"

This is such a common thing (for me at least). I would like some way to tell Scriv not to change anything without a warning.

Re: Procedure for Sharing via Thumb Drive

For simply working for a few hours at a coffee shop, I've been doing this, and I want to see if it might cause some problems: 1. I copy the entire folder holding the project to a thumb drive 2. I rename the folder MyProject.lock on my iMac 3. I put the thumb drive into my MacBook and open it and wor...

Don't Want to Redo All Formatting

For my most recent project, I have everything set up for formatting: Section layouts, section formatting etc. For example, under My Formats I have a format called "My Bookfunnel PDF." I opened an old project and had Scriv convert it to the new version. I went to compile it, but found that ...

Re: How to Not Indent First Paragraph of Scene

Funny, it's in a different place when compiling to a PDF:

How to Not Indent First Paragraph of Scene

For my MOBI compile, I do not include section titles for the scenes. How do I tell Scrivener to not indent the first paragraph of each scene?

Thanks.

Re: Can't Select Editor Window

After I made the first video, I found that my "Manuscript" folder had been renamed to "Chapter 1"! No more making demo videos in a real project.

But, note that you can see when that happened at the 14 second mark in the first video.
