Re: Latex to Scrivener Project

Thanks, nontroppo. I was able to import the MMD file into a new project using pandoc. Do you know how the MMD footnotes, ( [^1], [^2], etc ) can be converted into footnotes in Scrivener's inspector panel? Also, do you have any recommendations as to how I can automatically divide the MMD file into se...

Latex to Scrivener Project

Hi All, I was so grateful to have Scrivener while working on my dissertation. To save myself formatting headaches, I did my final edits as a Latex document. I'm now ready to start the slow process of editing the dissertation into a book. What would be the most efficient and accurate way to turn the ...

Re: Blockquotes in Markdown to LaTex

Hi guys,

Thanks so much for your help. I think that I must have had a few errant spaces in there—especially after the ">" symbol—that were throwing everything off. It now works great!

Thanks again,

Ryan

Blockquotes in Markdown to LaTex

Hi guys, I'm having a hard time putting a block quote in my dissertation using Multimarkdown, which I then export as LaTex. As far as I understand it, you just need to put a "greater than" in front of the paragraph that is a quote. Unfortunately, the symbol remains in the final PDF and the...

Re: German Umlaut & LaTeX

Hi everyone, thanks for the help! Amber, you were right. It had something to do with the encoding.

I pasted this into the header, and everything works great now.

\usepackage[utf8]{inputenc}
\usepackage[T1]{fontenc}

Thanks again!

Re: German Umlaut & LaTeX

FWIW, I also tried wrapping the latex commands in comments, <!--{"u\}-->, but no luck either.

Re: German Umlaut & LaTeX

I would love to have an answer to this problem as well. I tried to use the replacements option in the compile window to transform characters with umlauts into their LaTex equivalent (i.e., ö to {"o\}) but after the compile {"o\} gets turned into {\textbackslash{}"o\}. Any help would b...
