Re: Halp! Scratchpad notes gone. O_O

Oh. There it is. Got it.

Thanks! I...figured out the problem thanks to you. I had to move documents off of my computer to make room for the update, and I didn’t realize the Scratchpad folder went with it.

Thank you! I would have never figured that out by myself!

Have you searched in Finder for Scratch?

Just now with your suggestion. I’m not seeing anything. :(

Halp! Scratchpad notes gone. O_O

I updated to Mojave last night. I imagine that is the cause of my scratchpad notes disappearing?

I don’t know where to start to fix this. Halp??

Re: "You should write on paper" advice

I used to write on paper a lot. I found it very relaxing, like meditation. However, I did notice after a long time of writing and settling into my style and voice, that the pace sped up on paper and detail was lost to a point it didn't sound like the style and voice I wanted. I couldn't get the thou...

Re: Sync Reminder on iOS

Sync time is partially due to limitations of particular devices (my iPhone 7 syncs *way* faster than my iPad Air 2), but there are other aspects that you can theoretically control. Have you seen this (lengthy) thread that discusses things you can do to reduce sync time? https://www.literatureandlat...

Re: Sync Reminder on iOS

Desktop Scriv will NOT tell you if you've left something open in iScriv. Nor will iScriv tell you if you've left something open, either on a desktop or on another iDevice. That's the whole point of this thread. You only get notified of conflicts, after they've happened. Right. Only after it’s synce...

Re: Sync Reminder on iOS

I have a simple rule, I do not walk away from the iPad without syncing and closing Scrivener. Yes, it’s a bit fiddly however the app on iOS opens quickly and synch is quick. I do have the latest 12.9 Pro which is a screamer, however the old Pro was hardly slow. So, if I walk away for a short time I...

Re: Sync Reminder on iOS

I followed all the suggestions from the last thread about iOS syncing and am still having massive problems. Maybe I'm the only one, and I'm a stupid forgetful goldfish or something, but I'll get a text or other message, have to answer it, and then the dog will have to go outside, or I'll have to an...

Re: Sync Reminder on iOS

Now there's an idea that might possibly work--- using the iOS push notification system! it's certainly OS supported. Say, have Scrivener just send a push notification after a Dropbox project gets left open with changes. Time delay to be user configurable. Another possibility: Scrivener already has ...

Here is the Scriv file.

Edit: Comments are not as tall as highlights, so maybe this could provide a clue as to what's going on here.

Re: Update to Comments, Scivener Links, and Highlights

1. Links are just links in the text system and there is no straightforward way of assigning a different colour to different types of links. Comments require links in order to be clickable. Okay. That's a little confusing since most other word processors I've used can distinguish between these two j...

Update to Comments, Scivener Links, and Highlights

Differentiating Comments and Scrivener Links Comments and Scrivener Links share the exact same formatting, except for the highlight function. Having Comments and Scrivener Links have completely separate color and formatting options would be a significant improvement as they have very different purp...

Altering the appearance of comments in the editor.

EDIT Update: After hours of experimenting, I accidentally discovered that Comments and Scrivener Links share the same settings. This is now in the Wishlist forum. Original post: I'd like them to look merely as a highlight does, without the outline around them, or with the blue text and blue underlin...

Re: Option to Text Wrap Titles in iOS

Is this a possibility? I essentially can't do outlining in Scrivener iOS without this option. The binder makes a good replacement for the outliner except for this issue.
