Re: Problems deselecting text in Notes in Quick Reference Panel

I don't think it's actually a Scrivener 3 issue but a text system issue - it might be to do with Scrivener 3 being 64-bit. But selection is entirely down to Apple, so I think the bug must be in their code (since Scrivener has no control over selection drawing). But I cannot reproduce it at all at th...

Re: Splitting a Scrivener File

The easiest way would be just to make a copy of the project in the Finder, and then delete what you don't want from each version of the project.

Re: Support option when a credit card is charged but no license is sent

Hi Matt, Thank you for your patient email in the face of having waited five days - I'm very sorry that you've waited so long without a reply from us. We try to get back to everyone in two days, but our support queue is unprecedentedly long at the moment, so things are taking longer than we would lik...

Re: macOS split view problem

You always had to be a little careful about what you had open in order to be able to use split screen because of the limited width - so, for instance, you could never have the inspector, binder *and* editor, or a vertical split, because that wouldn't leave enough screen space. In Scrivener 3, though...

Re: Compile a Synopsis

You only have to assign the section layouts once. Once you've done that, it works for that project from then on. And you can use the same Compile Format with *any* project. In Scrivener 2, each Format only worked for a limited number of projects.

Re: Problems deselecting text in Notes in Quick Reference Panel

That... is just bizarre. It's certainly no behaviour of Scrivener's - there's no code in Scrivener that could do this. I'm wondering if an error is getting thrown that is then causing random behaviour. Could you please open up Scrivener's Preferences, and then under General > Warnings tick "Sho...

Re: Delay in context menu

I'm not sure what nontroppo means about the word menu - the word counting menu, maybe? If so, the code is identical in Scrivener 3 and Scrivener 2, so that cannot be anything in Scrivener itself causing the extra time. As for the "Share" menu, I never removed it from Scrivener 2. However, ...

Re: Endnotes are not being complied in non-fiction MLA Format

Hmm, is that the requirement? It might have changed since I last checked this. Please try the following: 1. Once again, Ctrl-click on "MLA Format" in the "Formats" list in Compile and choose "Edit Format". 2. This time choose "Footnotes & Comments" in the ...

Re: Unexpected behaviour with superscripts and subscripts in epub3 compilation.

The reason for this is that, internally, Scrivener's rich text is converted to MultiMarkdown which is then converted to HTML5. It adds a great deal of custom HTML that MMD wouldn't otherwise handle, but superscripts and subscripts are all done using MMD, and they have certain rules (such as that the...

Re: Current line highlighting?

Okay, inspired by Bridey, I've updated the way current line highlighting looks for 3.0.1: http://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum_images//CurrentLine-20171213-154951.png I reckon there will be newfound appreciation for 3.0's subtle border... There was no intent to be rude, but to offer feedback... H...

Re: Remove first line indent fails with a Section Layout Prefix in EPub3 compile

As I said above, by the time the HTML is injected in the code, there is no concept of anything being title prefixes, section layout prefixes or anything else - there are just rich text paragraphs that need converting to HTML and MMD, nothing else. So the solution cannot rely on knowing that this seq...

Re: Problems with reference files and image tag (scrivener 2)

Could you possibly make a copy of the project and strip down the project so that it shows the problem for a single image, then post it here (zipped up)? You can delete out the text or just use some dummy text so that you aren't posting anything you don't want others to see, just a project with an im...

Re: Importing Multimarkdown into Scrivener 3

Import MultiMarkdown has been incorporated into the Import and Split feature. Given that importing an MMD file split it up anyway, it seemed silly having it as a separate feature. So, just go to File > Import > Import and Split and choose the file, exactly as you would have done with Import > MultiM...
