Re: Docx No Internal Links

Did you set up your compile format's section layouts to include RTF bookmarks? That is necessary for internal links to be included in a .docx.

All the best,

Re: Closer Spacing on Corkboard Please

Yeah, it's *huge*. Scrivener contains around 500 icon image files, over 100 custom UI classes and dozens and dozens of controller classes that control those views. Every icon has needed a dark mode variant, almost every view class has needed rewriting to support dark mode, and every controller class...

Re: Text selection: sentences?

In fact, this was something I experimented with back in 2016, during 3.0's development. The problem is that Apple doesn't provide enough override points to change their behaviour. So I could change things so that triple-clicking worked for sentences and four clicks for paragraphs, but in other circu...

Re: Closer Spacing on Corkboard Please

It shouldn't be difficult to add, although I'm swamped right now with dark mode - I just get grumpy about being called anachronistic, probably because I'm starting to feel I am. :D

Re: Font style sheets

Hi, Styles are available in Scrivener 3 - presets were part of Scrivener 2, so it sounds as though you are still on the older version? Actually, your profile says you are on Windows. Is that the case? If so, this is the macOS forum, so I think you meant to post over in the Windows forums. Styles wil...

I'm aware it's just a request, but "anachronistic" is a bit OTT. :)

Re: scrivener was crashed when I select text (other log)

Hi,

Unfortunately the crash log shows code from deep within Apple's macOS, so there aren't many clues to go on. Are there any steps I can take to see the crash or myself?

Thanks and all the best,
Keith

Re: Closer Spacing on Corkboard Please

It's not anachronistic and has nothing to do withs skeuomorphism; it provides more room to see images that can be of landscape or portrait dimensions.

Re: No page breaks when compiling 'as is'

Hi, There's no need to use "as-is" for this - you can just customise the Section Layouts to look how you want. You need to edit the Compile format you are using - so Ctrl-click on the format in the Compile window sidebar and choose "Edit Format..." (or "Duplicate & Edit ...

Re: Insertion point height jumping.

I think you are alone there. :) Scrivener used to do things TextEdit's way, but we had hundreds of requests to reduce the size of the insertion point to match the font height rather than the line height - hence the custom code.

Re: ePub3 vs ePub2

Thanks. So, is it a good idea to move to ePub 3 ASAP? I won't be removing ePub 2 any time soon, so it depends on what you want, really. If you are currently getting better results with ePub 2 and don't have much time to delve into how ePub 3 is done at the moment, there is nothing wrong with sticki...

Re: ePub3 vs ePub2

ePub 3 is very different in the way you set it up, since it is entirely built around CSS and styles. The editor formatting will not be used and you will need to set up the formatting in the Compile format. The built-in "Ebook" format should do a very good job and is the best place to start...

Re: Odd behavior (fonts)

Very strange - I've never seen glitchy behaviour in this myself and I don't believe we have had any similar reports (albeit one, which was slightly different and I don't think related). When text reverts to Helvetica, it usually means that the font is not available, which is strange. Some text might...
