Different Scrivener file icons in Finder

Nit: Why do I see different file icons for my Scrivener files in Finder? This is on my Mac. All files are updated and have been used with Scrivener 3.

Re: Scrivener seems to be struggling with "Downloading file list"

I've seen the same behavior. Downloading file list is markedly slower now.

Search by File Type?

Is it possible to search by file type? For example, find all .gif or .jpg or .scap?

Locate large files in a project

I have a project that's becoming too big. I want to locate large files (mostly pdfs I assume) and store them as external resources instead.

Is there a way from within Scrivener to identify files by file size, or must I go into the Finder? (I am comfortable doing the latter if I must.)

To clarify, I'm speaking only of the iOS integration.

Dropbox - Full Access versus Folder Access

One question about Dropbox integration: When I grant you access to Dropbox, I must do it for "All folders and files in Dropbox". I use Dropbox for many things, not all of which I want Scrivener to have access to. Is there a reason we can't grant Scriv access only to the apps/Scrivener fold...

Problem importing text files produced by iA Writer Pro

Hi, I use iA Writer Pro for note taking. Their app uses markdown syntax, but they have four file extension types (.note, .md, .edit and .read), all of which actually represent text files in different states. When I attempt to import these files into Scrivener, the only files that can be imported are...

Tuning/improving the speed of compile

I have a few projects that take a good amount of time to compile (upwards of 20 minutes). I'm trying to figure out how to make the compilation go faster and wanted to see if there were any guidelines or gotchas I should consider. I don't think my project is unusually sized, but I use a number of Ima...

Image Placeholder Tags and MMD

Are Image Placeholder Tags supposed to work with MMD compilation?

If I use an Image Placeholder Tag and compile to RTF, it includes the image.
If I use an Image Placeholder Tag and compile to MMD -> RTF, it doesn't include the image.

Re: Image Placeholder Links dont' compile to DOCX

Very helpful, thanks.

It's true that I intentionally chose not to install Java on my machine. So I'll use RTF export.

Documentation Bug: Image Placeholder Links

I was looking at the product documentation (the PDF included with the latest Scrivener 2.4) and I noticed that the example syntax for image placeholder links had been stripped from the PDF. In previous versions of the documentation, this was not the case. Just letting you know.
