Re: Yet Another Character Sheet

Yeah, it's a nested table - the line is just a line of hyphens though, so just replace the hyphen at the appropriate place for your character with a zero. To change it, you can just delete the zero and insert another one where ever you want. Hope that helps :) And I know what you mean about deviatin...

And even in case my notebook will be stollen, I can always get my backups from google-email account. Sure, there is utulity for automatic sending backups to mail...

True, but Scapple isn't available on Windows, so that probably won't help the OP much at the moment. ;)

Re: Can't launch Sente 6.6 with ⌘Y

Have you tried dling the non-MAS version of Scrivener (http://www.literatureandlatte.com/download_mac.php) and seeing if that works? As long as you've run the Mac store version at least once it will recognise the license, and if it's a sandboxing thing, using the non-sandboxed version of Scrivener m...

Make sure "display images as photographs" is selected in the appearance section under Scrivener > Preferences > Corkboard.

Re: Using Separators for iBooks export

Yes, exactly. If you change the sub-sections to text files, something like this should work: Screen Shot 2013-05-04 at 11.19.06 .png You'll probably also want to use the formatting pane in compile to edit what shows up for the subfolders you've just converted (ie, whether you just want the title, wh...

Re: Using Separators for iBooks export

Hmm, my first thought would be to convert the sub-folders inside each chapter into text-stacks instead - just right-click on it in the binder and select "Convert to File". The icon will change to a small stack of paper. This won't affect the contents or sub-documents at all, and you can se...

Re: Using Separators for iBooks export

Could you post a screenshot of your binder layout so we can see how it's laid out? Depending on the configuration, someone can probably get you where you want to go but we're working a little blind without it. ;)

Re: keep with next

There's not a way to do this in Scrivener that I know of, and it sounds more like the sort of fiddly layout stuff that would need to be done after compiling to a dedicated layout program like Word anyway, since Scriv's really more for the drafting end of the process. What you can do in Scrivener tho...

Yep, hence my ETA: ;)

Re: Substituting text formatting when compiling to text?

Not 100% since it's not something I personally use, but I think selecting "MultiMarkdown" in the "Compile For" selection at the bottom of the Compile menu might achieve what you're after?

ETA: Just tested, and seems I was mistaken. Sorry!

Re: Sentence & readability analysis

The readability analysis has been suggested in the past and turned down a few other times . Basically, it's been deemed to be outside Scrivener's purview, especially given the large availability of online analysis tools for reading level, and further discussion centred on the way said stats are both...

Re: Recover files from trial version

Your .scriv files are stored independently from the program, in the same way a word document or image is saved separately to Word or Photoshop. Installing/Uninstalling Scrivener shouldn't affect that at all... hmm. A couple of things to check: 1) Double check your trash, in case your .scriv file end...

Re: Recover files from trial version

You can find all your scrivener files by searching for .scriv in Finder (you can also save this search to create a dynamic library of all your Scrivener files if you so wish). Once you've located them on your harddrive, you can open them directly by clicking on them, or navigate to them from within ...

Re: I just want Customised Folder Icons for Windows

Everything that is currently in the Mac version will be coming to Windows - it's all planned, it's just that the Mac version is several years older than the Windows version and so it has to play catch up. There's no need to post asking for Mac features to come to Windows, because they're already on ...
