Font color in corkboard

In the latest version of Scrivener, the font color of the text in my corkboard is gray. Is there any way I can change it to black?

Re: How to stop two dashes from being turned into an em dash?

Under Preferences > Corrections, beneath the "Use smart dashes and ellipses in new projects" checkbox, there is another checkbox: "Disable smart dashes and ellipses in script mode". If that is ticked, smart dashes will not be used in scripts such as US Stage Play. All the best, ...

Re: Bug in Page Setup window?

Hi, No, this isn't a bug. Changing the units doesn't change the values. By default it's set to 2.54 in each and "cm" as the value. If you want to change the values, you can change the measurement and values. All the best, Keith Thanks. I had assumed that if I changed the units from centim...

Bug in Page Setup window?

While using the US Stage Play setup, I opened Page Setup. When I changed "Page Attributes" to "Scrivener," all four margins were set to 2.54cm. But when I changed Units to Inches, 2.54 still appeared, which is incorrect: 1:00 should have appeared for inches. (See screenshot.)

Re: How to stop two dashes from being turned into an em dash?

Possibly you need to check System Preferences ▶︎ Keyboard ▶︎ Text ▶︎ Use smart quotes and dashes too? That is checked too. The strange thing is I just discovered that in other apps, such as the Notes app, if I type two dashes and a SPACE, the dashes are replaced with an em dash. Further, if I try t...

Page numbering in US Stage Play

When I compile a US Stage Play, in the resulting PDF each page number is following by a period, as in "1." How can I get rid of the period so that only the page number appears? (I am using Scrivener 3 on my MacBook).

Re: How to stop two dashes from being turned into an em dash?

It has been renamed, I think it is now called Preferences ▶︎ Corrections ▶︎ Use smart dashes and ellipses in new projects , and to toggle it in existing projects Edit ▶︎ Substitutions ▶︎ Smart dashes and Ellipses . That is checked, but when I type two dashes and a SPACE the two dashes are not repla...

I just looked in Scrivener 3 on my MacBook and cannot find that option. Has it been relocated?

Re: Questions about upgrading to Scrivener 3

Thank you, everyone, for your very helpful replies.
Following Brookter's advice, in my Applications folder in Finder I renamed Scrivener to Scrivener 2. Then, I installed version 3, registered it, and have begun using it on a new project that I began in 3's trial version.

Re: Questions about upgrading to Scrivener 3

Katherine,
I'm a bit confused by "you should be using Scrivener 2.8.1 anyway on any system that will run Scrivener 3." Why is that?
I have the trial version of Scrivener 3 on my system. Before I activate it, should I first install Scrivener 2.9? (Where can I find it?)
Thanks,
Howard

Re: Questions about upgrading to Scrivener 3

If I want to continue using Scrivener 2 after I install Scrivener 3, do I have to upgrade Scrivener 2 to version 2.9?

Questions about upgrading to Scrivener 3

I am running Scrivener 2.8.1.2 on my MacBook Pro. I would like to upgrade to Scrivener 3, but I do not want to lose any of my Scrivener 2.8 projects.

1. What would be the easiest way to do that?
2. Can Scrivener 3 open projects created in Scrivener 2.8?

Thanks,
Howard

Using both Scrivener 2 and Scrivener 3 on my Mac

On my Mac, I have both Scrivener 2.8.1.2 and the trial version of Scrivener 3. Both are in my Application folder and are running fine. Scrivener 2.8.1.2 appears as "Scrivener." The trial of Scrivener 3 appears as "Scrivener 3"--I renamed it from "Scrivener 2." I bought ...
