Re: 18th Century Capitalization

Hello again, I was reading our beloved Declaration of Independence from the Pocket Constitution booklet given to me by my congressman when I noticed a pattern to the capitalization of certain words. It appears the only words capitalized are the nouns. If you read through each sentence and diagram it...

Re: Where has the iOS Wish List Gone?

Whatever the case, it makes absolutely no difference at all if you get a 32gb or a 64gb (or whatever) iPad. Even just one of those gigabytes would store all of Pages, four times over, and for more reasonably designed applications... well you could have TaskPaper installed nearly 280 times in a sing...

Thanks for the Scrivener for iPad update!

Keith, Thank you for explaining the cause for delay with Scrivener for iPad. My mind wanders into all sorts of pessimistic speculation, so it was with great, albeit solemn, relief that I read your thoughtful update ( http://www.literatureandlatte.com/blog/?p=359 ). I hope everything will be okay wit...

Re: Welcome to our new team member - our iOS developer

I'm convinced Literature & Latte uses the Apple Management Dictionary. That is to say, "first quarter" means March 31st. At 10pm. Hawaii time.

Re: Estimated Release Date for Scrivener on iOS?

Sorry to hear about the setbacks. I develop software by day, and I know how frustrating it can be to rely on a third party product, particularly when it doesn't work as advertised. Best wishes for your ongoing efforts; I'm sure it will be a stellar product by the time you release it! Warm regards an...

OK, I've signed up for the newsletter. Thanks for your replies!

P.S. Awaiting for Scrivener on iOS has become my adult way of experiencing the giddy anticipation of Christmas or a birthday as a child all over again. I can hardly wait! :D

Estimated Release Date for Scrivener on iOS?

I know a lot has been said about this, and I'll gladly remain patient (i.e., not make thinly-veiled threats or feign hyperbole), but it would save me some time in having to check the announcements page for news every day if we could get en estimated release date, or an indication from L&L that a...

Re: Help with massive project w/ scores of characters?

Upon reviewing your suggestions, I have two more questions. Should I place the note cards I created from the bibliography at the top level of a given topic's hierarchy (say, attach them to the folder containing a chapter's documents)? And if I change the original card attached to the bibliography, d...

Re: Help with massive project w/ scores of characters?

NorthboundTrain and Amber, those are some fantastic ideas! I paticularly like the Scrivener links. I've used them before, but as with any large project, sometimes the content overwhelms the tool and gems like these can be easily overlooked or forgotten. I also like your note card suggestion for the ...

Re: Help with massive project w/ scores of characters?

That's a helpful suggestion, so thank you! I agree, that would be a better location. Can you help me get it moved over there?

Thank you kindly!

Re: Historians and note cards?? Does Scrivener work well?

I am writing a history book right now, and the only reason I decided to do so was because I had already purchased Scrivener. Being that this is my first book, I'm bringing no prior experience with me, such as the notecards, etc. I'm very thankful for that because I feel like I can attack this on my ...

Help with massive project w/ scores of characters?

Hello, all! I hope I posted this in the right place in the forum, since none of the other topics seemed to pertain to my scenario. If someone at L&L feels compelled to move this to another forum, please do so. I'll understand. I am embarked on a massive and absolutely daunting history project, w...

Re: How big is your Scrivener project?

I just looked at my project and discovered it's grown to 5.6 GB. A few months ago, I was disappointed because I kept running up against my free Dropbox limit of 2.25 GB! Obviously those fond Dropbox days are gone because this project isn't getting smaller anytime soon.
