Re: Collections search defaults to "ignore case" and "contains"

Ah! Now I get it. I thought I'd toggled "case sensitive" in the search (from the search box), and I hadn't. I just ran a couple of test searches and got the results I was expecting. Thank you, and please feel free to tag this thread "PEBKAC."

Collections search defaults to "ignore case" and "contains"

I'm not sure if this is actually a bug, or expected behavior, but— If I run a search (of any kind) and save the results as a collection, then run a search inside the collection, the options always default to "ignore case" and "contains." If I run a search in the binder, though, t...

Re: Time Spent on Project Statistic?

I use RescueTime for this. It's cross-platform. For Windows, ManicTime is very good (or was, when I last used it). I've also used Timing for Mac (available in the App Store)—I know someone else on the boards uses and recommends it. There's also some enterprise-level software for this, that lets mult...

Re: Feedback Wanted: How do you structure your Scriv projects?

I started off importing my current manuscript in as separate scenes since that seemed like a cool feature. But after working with it for a while, I realized I do not ever want to work on just one scene, since the others must be referenced frequently to ensure I haven't missed a detail when adding t...

Re: Scrivener 2.7.1 (MAS) locking up in El Capitan

I was having similar issues, and disabling access to Contacts seem to have fixed them for now. I have 231 cards in Contacts.

I am seeing a lot of notifications in Console that "The ShareKit framework's library couldn't be loaded..." Is that anything to be concerned about?

Re: it's coming out

I was in the beta too, and just bought the full version. It's pretty fantastic. (And will tide me over nicely until iScriv is ready. :) ) ETA: I actually use Ulysses and Scriv differently, so will continue to use both on OS X and (eventually) iOS. I've been pushing myself to use Ulysses for more lon...

Re: Previewing a post in Marked

Yeah! I got it. And it's not bad at all. Live Preview and so on. 2. Then, in Scrivener, you set the option 'include in compile' for the nodes/folders you want to view in Marked2. How you do this is entirely up to you. Either you set the option in the outliner (I did this for the main folders inside...

Re: View Document Notes in Outliner Mode

Another possibility may be to use custom meta-data for this, so you can optionally display it as another column in the outliner and deal with it separately from the synopsis. I actually have a "Notes" section in the custom meta-data for one of my projects; I usually use it in the inspecto...

Web Page Import - Keyboard Shortcut Closes All Windows

Up until today, I could import web pages to my research folder with ⌥⌘-W. Now, for some reason, that combination closes all of my Scrivener windows, and I have to reopen my project. Do you know of a way to re-assign that combination to the import function in Scrivener? I've tried adding it to the Ap...

Re: Horrible web import with flash

As KB said, DevonThink does bring in web pages with all their horrible Flash intact, if you choose to import them as Web Archive or HTML. (Web Archive is static, so if the page changes, you'll still have the version you downloaded.) However, it can also import as a either a paginated PDF or a single...
