Re: Everything looks bloated...

Well done, Robert, I think you've nailed it. I'll report back if there are further problems.

Re: Everything looks bloated...

It's MS Shell Dlg 2, font size 10, in both versions. I've zipped a sample project (in both versions) and sent a link to the windows.support email address. It may be relevant to mention that my Windows 10 display is scaled to 125 %. Monitor resolution is 1920x1080. btw, this sample project also demon...

Re: Everything looks bloated...

Everything you want, simeva, makes sense to want (just honor my previous settings in the upgrade and make it all look the same). I just want to encourage you, and everyone else reading this, to please have patience and understanding with the developers. I hope I don't come across as impatient, Nath...

I'm afraid this is not happening for me. Here's a page from a project in 1.9.

And here's exactly the same page in the beta.

So this is a very substantial difference.

Re: Change in page width? Font size?

Just to clarify this.. The first screenshot above shows the file in Scriv 1.9. I load the same project into Scriv 3, and it looks like this: Capture.JPG I then change the page zoom from 100% to 75% as recommended by tiho here , to restore the original look of the document on screen, and the outcome ...

Re: [2.9.0.2] Some of my script formats are not being carried over

Has this bug been logged? It's still there in 2.9.0.3. Obviously it renders most of my projects unreadable. This is the file in 1.9. The dialogue lines are formated using a script element called 'Dialogue'. Capture3.JPG When opened in the beta, it looks like this. Capture4.JPG However, the dialogue ...

So does that mean to convert an existing project for use in Scriv 3, I 'll have to manually change each page of document notes? I have projects with thousands of pages.

[LH543|LH2773] Change in page width? Font size?

In 1.9, my text looks like this:

..and in the beta like this:
Capture2.JPG
Capture2.JPG (31.85 KiB) Viewed 359 times

The first screenshot is correct - ie the text width is actually 8 inches when printed. So what is happening here?

Re: Everything looks bloated...

We're looking at the possibility of adjusting the editor zoom percentage, since that changed between versions, and keeping it as-is in the project results in a different zoom level. Any news on this? Meanwhile I'm gradually working out how to restore the look of a 1.9 project so I can test out the ...

Re: If I save Options in the beta, will this change Options in my 1.9 projects?

..and a follow up..
If they are separate, can I import a settings file into the beta that was saved from Scriv 1.9?

If I save Options in the beta, will this change Options in my 1.9 projects?

I'm doing some testing using the beta, and I'm writing my live projects in 1.9.
If I change some of the program options in the beta, will this affect my 1.9 projects, or is the beta saving its own, separate set of options? I don't want to risk messing up my live work.

[LH2586] Background page colour changes in Bookmarks window

- open a bookmarks window - do View / Text Editing / Page View - the background colour of the page changes from white to mid gray. - do View / Text Editing / Page View again (to deselect this option) - the background colour does not change back to white It's ok for the colour to change, as long as t...

[Suggestion] No Minimise / Resize buttons on the bookmarks windows

There is only a 'close window' button on the top right corner of the bookmarks windows.
Is this a feature or a bug? It would be good to have the standard Windows Minimise and Resize buttons too.

This bug is still there in the current beta.
This is what happens when I apply some of my script formats.
