Re: exporting screenplay to Final Draft

I seem to recall that FD respects preset script formats in files compiled in Scrivener, but ignores any page settings. So you need to set up the page settings you want when the file is in FD. To avoid having to make detailed changes to the page set-up each time you compile your script, when you have...

Beta 11: Application hangs during conversion of script formats

I load a test file, containing script pages. I change the format of a script element A dialogue box pops up offering to convert all script elements to the new format (I think that is what it said). I click ok. The application hangs. I can only close it by going into Task Manager and ending the proce...

Re: Auto-complete for scene headings in script mode ?

It looks like the OP is two years old now, but in case anyone's still wondering, this functionality is in 1.9. - Do Format / Scriptwriting / Script Settings - Select your Scene Heading format (or create it if you don't have one) and then add the texts you want to the Auto-Complete list. This is a di...

Re: Scrivener 3 Windows Release

I'm just wondering, however, if anyone might tell me about the experience of using the 2.9 beta that ends mid December. Does it function well enough to actually transfer work and use it on a daily basis as a main editor? Be cautious. There are still some show-stopping bugs in there. In my case, thi...

Re: [LH543|LH2773] Change in page width? Font size?

Perhaps this shows the problem more clearly. First, here is the file in Scriv 1.9.8. 01.jpg Scrivener reports it is using Courier 12pt, In the first line of text there are 62 characters over 8 inches, according to the Scrivener ruler, which means there are ~8 chars per inch. However, when this file ...

Re: Change in page width? Font size?

tbh I had so much trouble with this beta that I uninstalled it. But in answer to your questions... 1) Just to clarify this.. The first screenshot above shows the file in Scriv 1.9. I load the same project into Scriv 3, and it looks like this: Capture.JPG I then change the page zoom from 100% t...

Re: Everything looks bloated...

It's MS Shell Dlg 2, font size 10, in both versions. I've zipped a sample project (in both versions) and sent a link to the windows.support email address. It may be relevant to mention that my Windows 10 display is scaled to 125 %. Monitor resolution is 1920x1080. btw, this sample project also demon...

Re: Everything looks bloated...

Everything you want, simeva, makes sense to want (just honor my previous settings in the upgrade and make it all look the same). I just want to encourage you, and everyone else reading this, to please have patience and understanding with the developers. I hope I don't come across as impatient, Nath...

I'm afraid this is not happening for me. Here's a page from a project in 1.9.

And here's exactly the same page in the beta.

So this is a very substantial difference.

Re: [2.9.0.2] Some of my script formats are not being carried over

Has this bug been logged? It's still there in 2.9.0.3. Obviously it renders most of my projects unreadable. This is the file in 1.9. The dialogue lines are formated using a script element called 'Dialogue'. Capture3.JPG When opened in the beta, it looks like this. Capture4.JPG However, the dialogue ...

So does that mean to convert an existing project for use in Scriv 3, I 'll have to manually change each page of document notes? I have projects with thousands of pages.
