Can't drag and drop text

Since the upgrade to 2.7 I can't drag and drop text within a document any more. I'm almost positive I could before.

Any ideas?

Re: Enlarging the canvas more organically

I'd second this.

There's a nice IOS app called Popplet where your text boxes are in the middle of an infinite canvas that you can move around as you like. It creates an incredible sense of freedom.

Before I started using it, I'd assumed that Scapple would work the same way.

Jack Reacher Parody

I've had three books on the go for a while now. This one, Jack Bleacher , is the first past the finishing post, and the first to be written entirely on Scrivener. For a comedy novella, it involved a surprising (to me) amount of research, and Scrivener was the ideal tool to keep on top of it all. All...

Re: Royalty checks

My smallest royalty cheque was for £0.01.

It was my cut of the royalties for a comedy show broadcast on Swiss cable that I'd contributed a sketch to.

'The Writers' Guide' now on Amazon

Not my first published book, but one of my first self-pubbed works. DIY publishing is an interesting process that I'd recommend to anyone. It's nice to be in the driving seat for a change. The text features a shout-out to Scrivener, which is the application I used to organise the text then export as...

Re: Looking for Best Writers' Apps for IPod Touch

'Notability' is the best note-taking/organisation app I've come across, by a long way.

For general creative writing I like 'iA Writer' and 'CleanWriter'.

Storyometer app

Recently came across an outlining/plotting/ideas app for the iPhone/iPad called Storyometer.

I've not used it in anger yet, but it looks useful. And I like the steampunk interface.

Clean Writer Pro on sale

Clean Writer Pro is on sale at the Mac App store (£0.69). There's also an iPad version. It's a simple text editor that offers an uncluttered writing environment, similar to iA Writer.

Folders and files scrambled

Had a very unpleasant experience yesterday. I’ve organised the novel I’ve been writing into a series of text documents, each in its old folder. I opened up the .scriv file yesterday and it opened on a list of Updated documents. I then went to the binder and found a good quarter of my folders and fil...

Apparently Smashwords is gearing up to accept ePub files. This should happen sometime this year.

Re: Scrivener Affiliate Program

Thanks David, I get the impression that the IRS are inundated with hopeful non-US self-pub authors ringing up for EINs. I've been told that some representatives will demand an INIT number before issuing an EIN, in which case you put down the phone and ring back in the hope of getting someone more am...

Re: iPad HD Remarks

Quick shout out to Cafe Nero who provide free WiFi. I and my non-G3 iPad are very happy there.

I think Costa do free WiFi too, there's a pass printed on the receipt (or something) haven't tried it yet.
