Delete al snapshots

On occasion I duplicate an entire project to edit it for a different purpose. The duplication includes all the snapshots, which I would like to delete without visiting each document separately. Is there a way to instantaneously delete all snapshots in a project?

And further development and refinements of cloud sync are under development for Bookends. Hinted at here: http://bit.ly/1TI8B8r.

I cannot recommend Bookends enough for scientific writing.

Re: Academic non-fiction workflow? (dealing with citations)

How could Bookends simplify this process or make it more efficient? I am not sure that it can. As is often the case, it comes down to personal choice. And relying on solid developers; after being burned twice by the developers of Papers, I am reluctant to use that product, or their more recent offe...

Re: Academic non-fiction workflow? (dealing with citations)

Bookends is a rock solid application, with an active and highly responsive developer and a very helpful online community. The developer typically responds within minutes or hours to every query, and is very open to (and actively solicits) suggestions for improvements. My experience with Papers can b...

Re: Academic non-fiction workflow? (dealing with citations)

marcoiac: The developer of Bookends posted a number of short, informative video tutorials here: http://bit.ly/1n7G910 . In brief, you can simply drag-and-drop a PDF into Bookends and, as long as the PDF has a DOI, Bookends will import the metadata for the PDF. The video tutorials, and the manual, de...

Re: Academic non-fiction workflow? (dealing with citations)

I have used Scrivener and Bookends (which I highly recommend), for dozens of scientific papers and grant applications. They are fully integrated. With a keystroke you insert citations from Bookends into Scrivener. You then compile the Scrivener project as an RTF (or, if you must, MSWord, or many oth...

Re: Subscript/superscript MMD code not recognized

Indeed, installing MMD 4.5.2 solved the problem. As always, AmberV aces it. Thanks much!

Subscript/superscript MMD code not recognized

I am using ^ to designate superscript, and ~ for subscript, as specified in the MMD syntax guide. If I use Compile: Multimarkdown–>RTF, the subscript and superscript are not formatted, and the output appears as, for example GABA~A (i.e., as originally entered). When Scrivener previewed in Marked, su...

Re: FoldingText and the PAPER notebook app - does it exist?

Michael: I am on a similar quest. One thing that comes somewhat close is SlipBox (http://markusguhe.net/slipbox/. Here, a 'document' would be a collection of notes that can be tagged, collated, and the results exported in a variety of formats.

Re: Sorting in the Binder

KB wrote:How did you go about the sort? I just tried this using Documents > Sort > Descending
That is precisely what I did. Another strange behavior: if I repeat the command the items reverse their order, but this order is also not correct. Redacted file attached

Sorting in the Binder

I have been trying to port my diary to Scrivener, and would like to sort the entries by Title. Sorting the entires in Outliner works well. However, when I try to sort entries in the Binder they seem to follow a logic of their own. See screenshot. Both were sorted in descending order.

Recognize Bookends URL

Would be most useful if Scrivener recognized Bookends URLs inserted into Document Preferences or a document's text. They are in the format: bookends://sonnysoftware.com/xxxx

Export with metadata

Is it possible to compile or export a document with it's metadata, including keywords notes and mod date, embedded in the document? Not as a separate metadata file.

Like a charm. It was disconcerting that typing option-return leaves the search box blank; there is no visual indication that anything was entered. Thanks much, you just saved me a lot of manual work!
