Re: Last File Stalls Syncing in iPad

just another reinforcement of the general suggestion that the files to be synced need to be kept reasonable. In the beginning, I changed the backup location, so that the backups weren't in the syncing file.. because of the length of time to sync. But then recently, I started having the problem that ...

Re: Invalid project message

while brighter minds than mine continue to look for a solution (perhaps).. I have no patience :D .. and as a Scrivener for Windows user, I'm in the habit of looking for workarounds :D :D ... so I took the blank project created on my ipad... opened it up on my desktop. I also opened up the project th...

Re: Invalid project message

while that might explain why some of the older projects aren't opening, the project I'm trying to access on the iPad was created in 1.9.7.. so sadly, that's not the solution. (but I will try that with some of the older projects)

Re: Invalid project message

and as a side note.. I just went into Dropbox again (on the iPad).. to try yet again, and decided to try to import it to Scrivener, rather than just open it. The message this time is Invalid Project. The project could not be imported becuase it does not contain all necessary structure files. Please ...

Invalid project message

I've been using Scrivener for PC, since it was in beta version, and I love it. I've also been a long-time user of dropbox, and feel proficient with that. I purchased Scrivener for iOS.. followed the tutorial, and moved my relevant files to the Dropbox/Apps/Scrivener folder and set that as the backup...

Re: Scrivener for iOS - When?

Helloo!!!!! Windows user here... a windows user with an iPad. I remember the first year I did Nanowrimo... and I read about this AWESOME program called Scrivener, and then realized that it was Mac only. I love writing in Scrivener.. today, I write year-round in Scrivener... but I first began writing...

Re: Index Card 4 - Corkboard Writing App for iPad

Can you go back and forth seamlessly between Index Cards and Scrivener? .... some formatting gets lost. Not to be mean to the Mac people... but for the Windows people, I have to say --gee.... I can use scrivener on my iDevice but I lose formatting?? Big fat deal!! Frankly, seems to me that Lit&...

Re: Index Card 4 - Corkboard Writing App for iPad

First -- I am NOT being unfaithful to my beloved Scrivener and my beloved L&L. But the fact is that - at this point in time, I can't use it on my iPad (and I have a vacation coming up, and won't be able to take my laptop!) Second... the developer of Index Card 4 is VERY responsive to questions.....

Re: Scrivener for iOS - When?

You said the magic words "feature complete", seasoned them with "bug fixing" and then added some special sauce with the words "extra coder". With that to fill our bellies, no need for apologies! :D My thoughts, precisely! feature complete? I'm now foaming at the mouth!...

disappearing text

I've been using Scrivener for nearly 4 years (ie, since the Windows version first came out)... and I use it with Dropbox, and I routinely use it from home and work, all without difficulty. I never use the save as.. and I have scrivener automatically do a backup to dropbox whenever I close. I almost ...

Re: Welcome to our new team member - our iOS developer

"We're not taking more suggestions at this time, though, I'm afraid - not for 1.0, that is - since development is now quite far along." Woo Hoo!!!! excellent news!!! I know these things always take longer than what everyone hopes.. but Nano 2013 is almost 10 months away... so with just a b...

Re: Please! Don't let the beta expire BEFORE the actual release

In addition to my own discount code for Scrivener from 2010 (woo hoo!).. I got two more codes from Mac people... with plans to give those to family members. I hate to bother those people who were kind enough to give me their codes, to have them get updated codes (and, of course, they might not even ...

Re: NaNoWriMo 2010--DONE! Thanks to Scrivener!

Last year (my first nano), I finished, 6 days late. This year, I finished 1 day early. And I have to give Scrivener at least part of the credit for that 1 week difference. But I have a Major Complaint. I am NOT a patient person. I'm sitting here, with code in hand, and you're telling me I have to Wa...

Q re: corkboard view v. text view

I'm putting this Q here, bc I suspect it's not a bug, I'm just doing something wrong. I spend 99% of my time in text view, and I think it would be fair to say that I'm always in text view when I close a project, and then close Scrivener. Yet it seems that most of the time, when I open scrivener - ev...

Re: New? info on lag issue

I had done all the disabling of spell check, autocorrect, etc, before, and the lag issue continued -- and would get worse, the longer I was working in Scrivener, but as I said before, doing a restore to the previous day, made significant improvements. Last night, I installed 1.3 on the laptop in que...
