*PAID UPDATE NOTIFICATION*
Scrivener 2.0 now available
($25 to registered users)
Scrivener 2.0 is a major release and marks our first paid update in nearly four years. The update costs $25 to registered users, or is free to those who bought Scrivener 1.x on or after 1st August 2010. Scrivener 2.0 is a major update and contains many refinements and new features (I've been working on it for the past two years, in fact). Please see the product page for information on what's new:

To update to 2.0, please use the special update page of our web store:
http://store.eSellerate.net/s.asp?s=STR4913460776&Cmd=BUY&SKURefnum=SKU81634174866
Note that you will need to enter the same e-mail address you used to buy Scrivener 1.x in order to get the update pricing. If your e-mail address has since changed, or if you've forgotten which one you used, please drop David a line on sales@literatureandlatte.com and he will be able to sort you out. (You will also need to download Scrivener 2.0 from our website and install it over your current version if you decide to buy the upgrade.)
If you would prefer to continue using Scrivener 1.x for the foreseeable future, that's fine too - just click on "Skip This Version” so that this nag box doesn't appear in future. (Note that if you click on “Install Update”, all that will happen is that you will re-install the latest version of Scrivener 1.x - 1.54; because 2.0 is a paid update, you need to visit our web page to download it. Thus, you will continue to receive this notification even if you click on “Install Update” until you choose “Skip This Version”.)
Trying 2.0
If you are a registered user and would like to try version 2.0 without committing to buying it yet, just skip this update and then go to our web page at http://www.literatureandlatte.com/scrivener.php and click on "Free Trial". You can run version 2.0 alongside your current version of Scrivener to test it out (if you want both Scrivener 1.x and Scrivener 2.0 in your Applications folder, you will need to rename one of them of course, as they are both called "Scrivener"). Please note that if you update your projects to 2.0 format, though, you will no longer be able to open them in Scrivener 1.x.
If you are running a trial version of Scrivener 1.x and haven't purchased yet, then you should go ahead replace your current trial with the 2.0 trial version.
Many thanks for supporting Scrivener.
